Beginner Friendly Circuit Training Workout
Warm-Up (5 minutes)
- Jumping Jacks: 1 minute
- Arm Circles: 1 minute
- High Knees: 1 minute
- Bodyweight Squats: 1 minute
- Lunges: 1 minute
Circuit (3 rounds, 30 seconds each exercise, 15 seconds rest between exercises)
- Push-Ups
- Start in a plank position. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the floor. Push back up. Modify with knee push-ups if needed.
- Bodyweight Squats
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Lower your hips until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Stand back up.
- Plank
- Hold a plank position with your elbows on the ground. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.
- Lunges
- Step forward with one leg, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at a 90-degree angle. Push back up and switch legs.
- Bicycle Crunches
- Lie on your back with hands behind your head. Bring your knees toward your chest, lifting your shoulder blades off the ground. Twist your body, bringing your right elbow to your left knee. Switch sides.
- Mountain Climbers
- Start in a plank position. Drive your knees toward your chest, alternating quickly.
After you complete 1 round, rest for 2 minutes and do it again until you complete 3 total rounds.
Cool Down (5 minutes)
- Stretch all major muscle groups, holding each stretch for 30 seconds.
